Getting around in Paphos
Paphos is a great place to visit, but if you’re like me then you’ll need some help getting around. So here are my recommendations for how to get around in Paphos:
Taxis
Taxis are the most common form of transport in Paphos and are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
They are affordable and easy to use, with fares typically costing around €12 for a 10 km journey. They can be hailed on the street, or booked via phone or online. Most taxis will also take credit cards, so there’s no need to worry about having cash on hand.
Taxis are comfortable and they’re also safe.
Public transport
Getting around the tourist area of Paphos is a breeze with the help of buses. With frequent connections between Kato Paphos, Tombs of the Kings, Chloraka, Kissonerga, Coral Bay, and Paphos Center. Additionally, buses run from Kato Paphos and Paphos Center to Paphos International Airport for added convenience.
One-way tickets, day passes or week passes are available. A week pass offers unlimited trips for one week during the hours 06:00-23:00.
Some bus routes do not offer a night service so please check the local timetables.
Intercity buses are also available connecting Paphos to Limassol and Nicosia costing around €5.
Bikes
Bikes are an excellent way to travel around Paphos.
If you enjoy cycling then there are plenty of places to rent a bike and cost approximately €10 per day which also includes a helmet and cable lock.
Walk or run
Using foot power offers health and cost benefits while the slower pace offers the chance to take in the many delights of Paphos.
Conclusion
Paphos is a great place to visit and explore. We hope that this guide has helped you learn more about how to explore all that Paphos has to offer.
